COLOURS WITHDRAWN FROM ENGLISH DERBY

The disappointing news was confirmed yesterday that Tote Gold Cup winner Coloursaregreen has been withdrawn from the Star Sports & Orchestrate English Derby after picking up a small niggle over the weekend when finishing second to his compatriot, Ballymac Ralf, in Heat 4 on Friday.

Owned Brendan Cocomon had suggested over the weekend that it was likely to happen, stating that the injury isn’t too bad and he will be back in the summer with the Irish Greyhound Derby as his primary target, although he may take in a comp before that. Said a clearly disappointed Brendan, “we leave him off now and give him time , we be looking at Irish derby and maybe something before that. Disappointing but that’s dogs. Ups and downs.”
