MOLLY IMPRESSES IN ENNISCORTHY FEATURE

Millpark Molly emerged a superb winner of the TIME Greyhound Nutrition Open Unraced at Enniscorthy on Monday night, posting a rapid 28.85 on her way to victory for owned David Kealy.

A well-bred daughter of Dorotas Wildcat and Moanteen Cindy, she was sent to traps the 5-2 third choice in the market but soon put herself in pole position. Showing immediate acceleration after a good start, she led her rivals into the turn, containing Tomahurra Scar in the process to enter the back straight in front.

The previously unbeaten Gymstar Cashin was only fourth into the back but flew into the third turn to go third before moving second on the run in but at no point did he ever look like threatening the leader and eventual winner.

Millpark Molly, who had posted 28.95 in her second-round success and run well after early crowding in her semi-final, ran right to the line to emerge a comfortable two and a half-length scorer in the €2,000 to the winner decider.

The October ’24 whelp also posted her fastest sectional on the night that counted, clocking a quick 3.22, and it seems inevitable that she will go onto bigger and better things.
