ZENITH GIZMO, trained by Corona Ryan for owners Birol Nadir and Paddy Kehoe, can make it three straight wins in the feature at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium tonight, the €5,000 to the winner John & Mary Killeacle Dowling Memorial A1 570-final.
The selection (Pictured right with Corona Ryan) has impressed in recent weeks, displaying bundles of speed in both winning performances. He's not the quickest of starters, but he has a huge engine, and with any luck in running, he should complete the three timer. The draw in trap two will suit, and he should turn handy around the opening corners. He will be powering down the back straight, and the fast finisher rates the one to beat in the feature final.
Pretend Time could be the biggest danger for Brendan Begley. A length behind the selection in last week's semi-finals, he looks the certain early leader along the inside of the track. The July puppy is an improving sort, and if slipping clear down the back straight, he will take plenty of catching.
It promises to be a fantastic night of racing action with additional prize money and trophies throughout the night, all thanks to the Dowling family, who have been great sponsors and supporters of the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium.
Ballinveala Jen, trained by Maurice O'Connor for owner Vincent Purtill, lands a narrow vote in the final of the Ballymac Finn A2 Final. Plenty hold chances in this; however, the selection caught the eye when winning in 28.74 last time out. There should be more to come from the July puppy, and if she turns alongside the early pace, she should be too strong in the second half of the race.
Rye Rye Rye, trained by Edward O'Sullivan for owners the Met Me Sean Os Syndicate, can record back-to-back winning performances in the Ballymac Cooper @ Stud A5 Stakes Final. The October puppy shed his maiden tag on the third attempt last week, winning in 28.91, and he looks capable of following up in this.
