The Eamon Wheatly Memorial returns to Newbridge this evening with no fewer than six opening round heats of the valuable competition making up much of the card.
To add further spice to proceedings, there is also a BOYLE Sports Derby Trial Stake.
The very nature of the Eamon Wheatley Memorial suggests that it is best to follow younger, progressive types. Indeed, by the end of the stake it is likely that there will be many greyhounds upgraded and racing in better company.
A couple that appeal this evening include Monbeg Notorious in the opening heat, Krushing It in Heat 3 and Cross Bono in Heat 4.
The Derby Trial Stake is a competitive affair. Jacktavern Storm has the best of the draw on the fence and is perhaps the most likely winner.
