TETRA DESTINY CAN COMPLETE THE HAT TRICK IN THE PEGASUS CUP

Barry Drake

TETRA DESTINY, for the Benalmadena Syndicate, can make it three wins on the bounce in tomorrow night's opening semi-final of the 2026 Pegasus Cup at Curraheen Park.

In outstanding form in recent weeks, the nap selection has impressed, posting 28.85 and 28.58 winning performances.

The in-form tracker operates well from the inside track, so the draw next to the rails is a massive plus, and he's expected to take control early on. The seven-time winner has plenty of all-round speed, and she should be hard to hold in this line-up. If putting her best foot forward, she should take the world of beating.
Killough Sniper, for Derek Loughnane, is the obvious danger. He was another to catch the eye last time out, showing plenty of speed to land the spoils after an ordinary start. That was a classy performance, clocking 28.85, and with a better start expected this time around, he is capable of going quicker.
In the second semi-final, Oriental King is the pick for the Organised Chaos Syndicate. The May puppy is an improving youngster, and he set the standard in the opening round when displaying massive all round speed to win, in 28.26. He backed that up with another fine run last week, finishing second to Testra Destiny. The selection looks capable of leading the outside in this lineup, and in doing so, the powerful running tracker will be hard to hold in the second half of the race.

The best is yet to come, and he rates a very exciting talent going forward. Killavullet Jet has bundles of early speed, and he is chasing a hat trick of straight wins for the Haven For One Syndicate, and he's the next best in this. Leading early is key to his chances, and he looks certain to make a bold bid from the front.
In the closing race, Princess Rosie is selected to make all the running. Trained by Kieran Lynch for Vincent O'Keeffe, the four-time winner caught the eye last time out, winning in 28.41. The selection has huge early speed, and despite a tricky draw, out in five, the classy lady looks capable of overcoming it. She should be in front early, and she will be the one to catch.

Ballycowen Archy is another with claims for the kennel of Dean Harpur. A litter brother to the selection, he has some fancy runs in the book, and when doing things right, he is really smart. Mixed form in recent times, if on a going night, he will give his sister plenty to think about.

Of the others, the Ryan McCarthy-trained Valhalla Vision will be powering home. She's the quickest of starters; however, the make-up of this race should suit, and she's one to watch in the second half of the race. A recent 28.60 run around course and distance suggests she is capable of going well in this.
