DIAMOND AND MONARCH SHARE FAVOURITISM IN CHAMPION STAKES

Sponsors BOYLE Sports have introduced Bockos Diamond and Bouncing Monarch as their 2-1 joint favourites to land the Champion Stakes at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night.

The pair clashed in the opening heat at the weekend with Bouncing Monarch edging on at the turn to see off his rival by three lengths but the draw for the final has thrown the door wide open.

Ballymac Kamala was stunning as she set the standard with a 29.25 return and she is next in at 5-2. There is a gap to Glengar Kane at 8-1 with Getup The Boy introduced at 12-1 and Sober Barry the rank outsider of the field at 20-1.
