TIME GREYHOUND NUTRITION SPONSORED MEETING AT YOUGHAL

DE LAST JOB, trained by John Kiely for owner John Jones, delivered the performance of the day in Youghal on Saturday.

The well-backed 13-8 favourite looked in serious trouble after a slow start in race nine, and it was Wagga Carr On who was flying along up front. It never really looked likely; however, the May puppy came from well off the pace to land the spoils. Powering home, the exciting prospect beat the early leader, by three-quarters of a length, in 29.34. (A1-A2).

DOUBLES ON THE DAY

Affane Fox took the opener, the €900 to the winner Unraced Final. In the care of Sam and Eamon Uniacke, Cappoquin, the 2-1 shot clocked a sizzling 4.05 sectional to slip around in front, and with trouble in behind, it was soon race over. Favourite Illcalluback found the world of trouble, and she was 11 lengths back, in 29.72.

Affane Blossom completed a double for the Uniacke family when making every yard of the running in race number seven. The 5-2 winner proved a length and a half too strong for Loughiney Magic, in 30.17.

DOUBLE UP

The well-supported Johnstown Adam, for Erica Hanrahan, Glanworth, drove a great opening corner to lead along the inside in the third, an A4, and the 2-1 market leader kicked for home down the back. Hollyhill Luca was always within touching distance, and he got within a short head, in 29.83. Glanworth Sally made it a double on the day for the Hanrahan family, winning race eight, an A5, in a very exciting finish. Nip and tuck late on, the 4-1 finished with a flourish to deny the running on Slaneyside Zen, by a neck, in 29.85.

****A huge thanks must go to TIME Greyhound Nutrition for the brilliant sponsorship. It was an early Christmas present for the winners who received €550 for winning. ****
