The Suncroft Festival Puppy Oaks gets underway at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night and the quality on show is there for all to see.
The opening round draw came through late on Tuesday evening and it features some outstanding talents.
After her stunning 28.05 return on Friday night, Ballymac Allory will be top of the list for many but she won’t have things easy as so many others have shown real ability. These include Droopys Croia, who was so impressive on Saturday night at Shelbourne Park.
In truth, each of the four heats are packed with quality. The opening heat is a perfect example with four of the six posting a sub 28.50 run in the past. It seems safe to assume there will be a number of Sporting Press Irish Oaks contenders emerging from the Puppy Oaks in the coming weeks.
