In the absence of both Unquestionable and Danikas Sapphire, Mark Connolly’s promising youngster Ballyhoe Natalee seized her opportunity to land the TIME Greyhound Nutrition A3 decider at Dundalk on Saturday night.
The improving daughter of Jaytee Taylor and Donna Rose had been narrowly denied in the semi-finals, being picked up late by Westway Adolf but there was no stopping Ballyhoe Natalee on this occasion.
Disputing the lead into the turn alongside Tell On Talulla, Ballyhoe Natalee claimed a narrow advantage from the second turn.
Tell On Talulla pushed hard to the third turn but Ballyhoe Natalee was not going to be stopped. Forcing her way into a near two length lead on the run in, she crossed the line with a length and three quarters in hand on her long-time adversary in 29.16 on a track rated .40 slow. Westway Adolf was another length and a half adrift in third.
