The sad news came through on Sunday afternoon that Liam Leahy had passed away.
Well known within greyhound circles, Liam was a regular at both Youghal and Curraheen Park for many years.
His son Donal is also well-known in the sport, and he worked in Curraheen Park for many years. Liam's son, Bart, passed away a couple of years ago, and he played a big part in the John Linehan kennels, and the Bart Leahy Memorial at Curraheen Park is now one of the standout events every year.
