Another young sire creating a few headlines is Gizmo Cash.
It’s also very early days in his new career but from less than a handful of runners he has already produced three winners, including Gizmo Majestic, who emerged a good winner of a sprint at Drumbo Park on Friday for Jamie McGee.
The brindle son of Gizmo Cash and Canyar didn’t fly from traps but flew into the turn to emerge a facile winner by some eleven lengths in 18.01. It seems inevitable he will go much quicker in the future.
The fact that each of the wins from the progeny of Gizmo Cash have come over two bends is perhaps no surprise. Gizmo Cash was a brilliant sprinter and his 18.18 Shelbourne Park track record run for the 350yd sprint trip seems likely to stand the test of time.
There’s no doubt Gizmo Cash will throw more winners in the near future and the manner in which his latest scorer crossed the line and powered into the escape suggests he will stay further.
