CLASSY DUO OF CHANTRY AND SILENT TOP CORN BETTING

Ian Fortune

It was perhaps no surprise to see Ballymac Chantry challenge for the Donal Beatty memorial Corn Cuchulainn but the addition of Derby finalist Glengar Silent comes as a real boost to the six-bend classic, which gets underway at Shelbourne Park on Saturday.

The duo share favouritism with BOYLE Sports at 3-1 with the hugely talented Lennies Desire next in at 9-2. There are only three opening round heats with four to qualify but the entry is packed with quality. Singalong Polly is also returning to 750yds and is the 10-1 fourth choice in the market, just ahead of her kennel companion Deerjet Matilda at 12-1. It means that Pat Buckley has three of the top five in the market.

There are a talented quintet at 16-1. Priceless On Ice, Garfiney Warrior and Jaypees Cooper have each run over the trip in the past but Kishlawn Kudos and Barntick Bucko are both newcomers to six bends. The full BOYLE Sports market can be seen below:
