Rumours and more had been doing the rounds in recent days and weeks that 2024 Irish Greyhound Derby champion Bockos Diamond was moving well in trials.
It has been confirmed by the Towcester racing office that the sensational son of Dorotas Wildcat is set to trial at the English Derby venue on Sunday afternoon.
It had already been hinted that if all went well in his latest spin, said to be at Curraheen Park, he would trial on Sunday and a post on X from the Towcester racing office gave the game away. The post comprised of the words “coming soon…” followed by a diamond emoji and a pair of eyes.
It’s not exactly cryptic so it seems safe to say we can look forward to seeing Bockos Diamond have his first public outing since the second round of last year’s Irish Derby on Sunday afternoon. If streamed live, it may also be safe to suggest that there will be extra numbers tuning into watch one of the greatest of all time trialing ahead of a crack at the English Derby.
