MR CHELM JUST FASTEST TO THIRD TURN

The table below will tell you that Mr Chelm was the fastest greyhound to the third turn in the third round of the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night but it was certainly only marginal.
Not only were De Lahdedah, Bobelsigh Dream and Tommys Hewick just behind him with a 17.03 run but Trinity Junior was only inches behind at the third bend sectional mark against Mr Chelm in their respective heat. Indeed, Trinity Junior probably clocked 17.02 but the table below is only for those that led at the where the sectional is recorded.
You may also notice the asterisk beside both Bobsleigh Dream and Tommys Hewick as the pair were inseparable in the opening heat of the round.
Bockos Crystal was razor-sharp at boxes in her victory over Coolavanny Hoffa in Heat 4 and she recorded 17.11 to the third turn, while Droopys Bro got loose early to post 17.12. Scaglietti is the only greyhound to lead at the third turn in each of his three assignments to date as he posted 17.17, while Clonbrien Treaty (17.20) and Well Met (17.23) led to the third turn in the two remaining heats.
