AN OAKS HAT TRICK FOR TEAM HOLLAND

Ian Fortune

Graham Holland made a near perfect start to his PGR English Oaks challenge at Dunstall Park on Saturday night, sending out a hat trick of winners and a good second.

Bombay Special, Ballydoyle Tina and Newinn Uganda were mighty impressive in victory, while Fahrenheit Jess ran a huge race to finish a close second to the standard-setting Strike It Skye.

SPECIAL DOMINATES

Bombay Special struck the front early and repelled the challenge of Dapper Daffy at the corner to assert as they hit the back straight.

She would pull clear to win by three and a three quarter lengths in 28.16.

TINA SHOWS HER PACE

Ballydoyle Tina would shake off early traffic to take charge at the third turn.

She then pulled clear to win by five and a quarter lengths over Brickhill Patsy in 28.21.

UGANDA SIMPLY TOO STRONG

Newinn Uganda won in similar fashion.

Showing huge pace and power from the second turn, she charged to the front into the third turn before powering away to beat Ballymac Allory by almost six lengths in 28.07.

JESS GOES QUICK IN DEFEAT

Fahrenheit Jess actually went faster than her three kennel companions, finishing a length behind Strike It Skye.

She made virtually all only to be collared late. Strike It Skye would win by a length in 27.94.
